World Of Warcraft was the third top selling PC title for the month, followed by Bethesda Softworks'
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
The Sims 2 Open For Business Expansion Pack fell from the first spot last month to fifth, while
The Sims 2 climbed up one spot to sixth. Microsoft's recently shipped
Rise Of Nations: Rise Of Legends ranked in seventh, followed by LucasArts'
Star Wars: Empire At War and Ubisoft's
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter in eighth and ninth respectively. Electronic Arts'
Battlefield 2 rounded out the top ten in final spot.
- Konami announced that it has signed Brazilian soccer player Adriano Leite Ribeiro as the official cover athlete for its upcoming soccer game
Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007. Adriano has been a permanent fixture on the Brazilian international team for more than five years, and was the leading scorer in the 2004 Copa America with seven goals as well as the winner of the Golden Ball Award for his five goals in the 2005 Confederations Cup.
Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 will ship in January 2007 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PSP, Nintendo DS, and PC.
- According to a the
Japan Airlines website, JAL has introduced a new program for its Executive and First Class passengers whereby they will be able to play games using the Nintendo DS Lite free of charge while they travel along certain routes from now until August 31, 2006. Eligible fights include those traveling from Tokyo to the following cities: New York; Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, Beijing, and Guangzhou. Titles available to travelers include the Japanese version of
Brain Training, its Japanese-only pseudo sequel,
Eigo go Nigate na Otona no DS Training: Eigo Zuke,
Mario Kart DS, and
True Swing Golf.
