Today's wrap-up includes news of game-related curfews in Malaysia, Nintendo's team-up with a fast food clown for its Wi-Fi roll-out, and a Donkey Kong-related charity website event, as well as today's product news and Gamasutra news postings. - In an effort to avoid gaming-related casualties, such as the recent World of Warcraft-related death in China, the government of Subang Jaya, Malaysia, has instituted an online gaming curfew to ensure that players curtail their cyber cafe play at least once per day. The new ordinance will require cyber cafes to set up separate areas for regular Internet users and gamers, and to close at midnight. Police will institute random checks on cyber cafes, to ensure that no after-hours play takes place. - Nintendo will celebrate the inauguration of its Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service with a Mario Kart DS release party at the original McDonald's in Chicago, IL on November 14th. The location is one of over 6,000 McDonald's restaurants that have partnered with Nintendo and Wayport to offer free wi-fi DS service. Attendees will be able to participate in online races against other players around the world, and meet members of Team Nintendo, as well as company mascots Mario and Ronald McDonald. - Gamers can help donate to charity free of charge by participating in Nintendo's "Where's DK?" search event. Starting at the event website, players must follow clues located on both the official website and the sites of participating retailers. For each of the first 10,000 players to reach the end of the puzzle, Nintendo will donate $1 to the Animal Protection Institute, for a maximum donation of $10,000. - Also updated today: product news including Havok's licensing of its physics system for Path Of Neo, as well as today's Gamasutra job postings, including positions from Amaze Entertainment, Anark Corporation, Blue Tongue Entertainment Limited, Climax, Factor 5, Firaxis Games, Iron Lore, LucasArts/Lucasfilm, Propaganda Games, Rockstar San Diego, Technicolor Interactive Services, The Bohle Company, The Collective, and THQ Australia.
