Today's Gamasutra round-up includes news of the Family Guy cast providing voices for the upcoming game, SNK's offerings for the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, and the cast of athletes to be featured in Virtua Tennis 3, as well as the latest GameSetWatch posts, Serious Games Source news, and Gamasutra job postings. - 2K Games announced today that Seth MacFarlane, creator and producer of the television series Family Guy, will lend his voice to the upcoming Family Guy video game alongside Mila Kunis, Seth Green, Alex Borstein, and Adam West. The game is scheduled to ship for current generation systems this fall. “We are excited to have Seth MacFarlane involved in the Family Guy video game,” said Christoph Hartmann, President, 2K. “MacFarlane’s voice alongside the other popular talent on board – Seth Green, Mila Kunis, Alex Borstein and Adam West - will definitely bring the humorous story and animated world of Family Guy to life in this must-have game for fans of the show.” - According to a report by consumer website GameSpot, SNK has announced what games it will have on display at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, scheduled to take place from September 22-24. The company's offerings will include a version of Garou Densetsu Special (Fatal Fury Special) for Xbox Live Arcade, which the company obviously hopes to build upon the recent buzz achieved by Capcom with Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting. Other titles scheduled for the show from SNK include a non-playable demo of The King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match and a playable demo of Garou Densetsu Battle Archives 2 (a Fatal Fury compilation), both for the PlayStation 2. Metal Slug Complete for the PSP, presumably the same game as the previously announced Metal Slug Collection, will also make an appearance. - Sega announced the collection of professional tennis talent that will be included within its upcoming Virtua Tennis 3. World number one ranked and 2006 Wimbledon Champion Amelie Mauresmo heads up the roster of women's tennis greats with global superstars Maria Sharapova, Venus Williams, and Martina Hingis. Nicole Vaidisova, Lindsay Davenport, and Daniela Hantuchova complete the list of women's headliners featured in the game. The male lineup will include four time Wimbledon Champion Roger Federer, as well as Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick, Tim Henman, Lleyton Hewitt, David Nalbandian, Sebastien Grosjean, Juan Carlos Ferrero, and Tommy Haas. Additionally, Virtua Tennis 3 will feature new superstars including James Blake, Mario Ancic, Gael Monfils, and Taylor Dent. Virtua Tennis 3 will be available in spring 2007 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PSP in North America. - The latest updates on Gamasutra sister weblog GameSetWatch include a new turntable-controlled flash rhythm game called Wicki Wicki, a look at D3's WTF for PSP, and info on new PC indie titles, including 3rd person shooter DevastationZone Troopers. - Also updated today: Serious Games Source news on a new game focused on the plight of the homeless, plus the latest Gamasutra job postings, featuring openings from Ageia Technologies, Amaze Entertainment, Auran Developments, Blue Fang Games, Iron Lore Entertainment, Radical Entertainment, and Windward Mark Interactive.
