Representatives from Rockstar have confirmed that the next
Grand Theft Auto game will be released in Q4 2004.
No further details were released, leaving it uncertain whether the game will be
GTA4 or another
Vice City style game based on the
GTA3 engine.
The company also failed to reveal whether the game would initially appear on any format other than the PS2. A release date of Christmas next year though does at least imply that the game is being developed for the current generation of consoles and not, as was previously rumored, the PS3.
