Right Hemisphere announced that the newest version of Deep Paint 3D is shipping, and released a new UV mapping tool, called Deep UV.
Deep Paint 3D 2.0 includes new projection painting technology that allows artists to work with larger models and manage changes during the texturing process. Version 2.0 has new spline tools for painting accurate outlines and shapes, integrates Projection Paint into the package, performs batch operations such as scaling color correction and channel operations on multiple material selections, features better management of multiple objects, can automatically name files, and more.
Deep UV, which is the successor to the company's Texture Weapons application, provides tools for creating, optimizing and modifying the UV mapping coordinates of 3D models in an interactive 2D and 3D UV mapping environment. It includes tools for managing the texturing and mapping production workflow, so that changes can be made to the UV mapping without the need to re-texture. You can manipulate texture UVs interactively on 3D models, untangle overlapping UVs, merge materials to create a single material without losing visual quality, and more. It plugs into 3ds max, Maya and Deep Paint 3D.
Both products are available now. Right Hemisphere has priced Deep Paint 3D and Deep UV at $795 each.
