The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences® (AIAS), organizers of the 2009 DICE (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) Summit, announced several speakers for the event, which takes place from February 18 - 20 in Las Vegas.
Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi, whose work with Capcom also includes
Onimusha 3 and
Lost Planet, will give an hour-long talk on the conference's second day.
Sony Online Entertainment Austin's (
DC Universe Online) creative director Chris Cao will deliver a session "Building Real Worlds from Scratch", afterwards. Following that, Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello and EA DICE (
Mirror's Edge, Battlefield series) creative director Lars Gustavsson will each deliver a half-hour session.
Sony Corp. EU's SVP Michael Denny and SCE London Studios' (
Singstar) director Michael Haigh will then discuss "Social Gaming: The European Perspective" with attendees, followed by Acclaim Entertainment creative officer David Perry, who will share his thoughts on the same topic.
Additional scheduled speakers for that day include serial inventor Ralph Osterhout, Ensemble Studios senior game designer Bruce Shelley, Electronic Arts CCO Rich Hilleman, Gas Powered Games creative director Chris Taylor, and Capcom marketing VP Mona Hamilton.
The next day will have talks by Bethesda Softworks game director Todd Howard, Disney Film and Lucas Film concept artist Harrison Ellenshaw, LucasArts & ILM art director Alex Laurant, NPD Group senior analyst Anita Frazier, GameStop COO J. Paul Raines, and Nintendo of America senior director of Project Development Tom Prata.
A Game Journalist Panel moderated by Insomniac Games CEO and president Ted Price is also planned, featuring Newsweek's N'Gai Croal, Spike TV's Geoff Keighley, USA Today's Mike Snider, and New York Times' Seth Schiesel.
