Report: Two More Studio Veterans Leave Infinity Ward

Mark Grigsby and Paul Messerly, two veterans with embattled Activision studio Infinity Ward, have left the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 developer, according to reports.
Mark Grigsby and Paul Messerly, two veterans with embattled Activision studio Infinity Ward, have left the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 developer, according to gaming site Kotaku. Grisby joined Infinity Ward in March 2005 and was a lead animator at the studio, most recently working on November's hit Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Messerly was lead character animator at the studio and was with Infinity Ward for over eight years. Kotaku cites unnamed sources in its report, but LinkedIn profiles under Grisby and Messerly's names showed that their tenures at Infinity Ward ended this month. A handful of key staff has left Infinity Ward in the wake of the firings of studio heads Jason West and Vince Zampella. Programer Jon Shiring and senior animator Bruce Ferriz left the studio following the shakeup, as did lead designer Todd Alderman and lead software engineer Francesco Gigliotti. Earlier today, Infinity Ward parent Activision raised its fiscal year outlook thanks in part to strong sales of Infinity Ward's downloadable Modern Warfare 2 map pack, Stimulus Package.
