Ninja Gaiden developer Tecmo and
Dynasty Warriors studio Koei are taking the next step in their upcoming merger, forming a joint committee to develop an integration plan.
Tecmo president Yasuharu Kakihara and Koei president Kenji Matsubara will serve as joint chairmen of the group, which is comprised of both executives and non-execs from both companies.
"This integration will allow employees to demonstrate the full extent of their abilities, so as to best serve the company in the future," says Tecmo
in a statement translated by game weblog Kotaku.
Tecmo revealed its intentions to merge with Koei earlier this month after
rejecting a $206 million friendly takeover offer from Square Enix, believing that a merger with Koei stands a better chance of "boosting corporate value."
The committee is expected to produce a "concrete integration scheme" for the two companies within the next two months.
