Report: Full Auto Developer Pseudo Interactive To Close

Media reports - independently verified by Gamasutra - are indicating that Canadian Cel Damage and Full Auto developer Pseudo Interactive is to close, following the cancellation of an unnamed project at Eidos.
April may have seen the closure of yet another development studio, with online reports suggesting that Pseudo Interactive is to close. The third such report this month, the news follows similar difficulties at Stormfront Studios and Castaway Entertainment. Reports of the closure began at consumer website 1up, which suggests that the recent troubles at Eidos Interactive parent company SCi adversely affected Pseudo Interactive, when an unnamed future project was cancelled. Gamasutra has subsequently received independent confirmation from un-named sources affected by the change, indicating that the Canadian developer is indeed in the process of closing its doors. Employing over fifty staff in Toronto, the developer, which has yet to make an official statement on the closing, was established in 1995 and initially worked on the Cel Damage franchise for Electronic Arts. All the company’s work to date has been automobile related, including the famous Xbox 360 Crash demo at GDC and E3 2004 and Full Auto and Full Auto 2: Battlelines for Sega.
