Documents filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission have revealed that THQ tendered a $6 million cash payment for
Homeworld and
Warhammer 40,000 developer Relic Entertainment, with a little more than an additional $4 million to follow over the next two years.
The price breaks down to $54,700 in tangible assets, $1.3 million in intangible assets, and $8.85 million in goodwill. THQ also assumed the $517,000 of debt owed by the developer.
Relic founder Alex Garden famously founded the company with start-up costs of just $5,000. THQ first announced the purchase of the company earlier this April.
