Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in an exclusively compiled list. New releases are slowly warming up again after the winter freeze, and major titles such as Lost Planet: Extreme Condition and WarioWare: Smooth Moves will soon make their debut in the United States and Europe. Japan also makes a return to the fray after a week's break, offering up nourishing releases like Atsumare! Piñata to hungry consumers. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending January 13, 2007. Games Released in the United States:
Xbox 360:

The Xbox 360 will see its first major release of 2007 this week with Capcom's Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, which is set to debut simultaneously in the United States and Europe. The U.S. will additionally receive several ports of the movie-based Arthur and the Invisibles, while Europe gets a chance to enjoy an English-translated version of WarioWare: Smooth Moves several days in advance of its American release date. Games Released in Japan:

After a week's break, Japan is back to business as usual with the new year's first batch of new releases. This week's offerings are a bit sparse compared to previous weeks, however, and few titles are currently making much of an impact in terms of preorder numbers. Next week promises to much more eventful, with big names like .hack//G.U. Vol. 3, Gears of War, and Shining Force Exa scheduled to make their debut alongside a selection of other awaited titles.
