Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in an exclusively compiled list. This week's worldwide lineup features North American releases for Final Fantasy IV and Izuna 2 on the Nintendo DS. Europe is set to receive Buzz! Master Quiz and Go! Explore, while Japan gets Wario Land Shake and Siren: New Translation. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending July 26th, 2008. Games Released in the United States:
Nintendo Wii: - Kidz Sports: Crazy Golf - The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor - Order Up! - SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 PlayStation 2: - The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor Nintendo DS: - Final Fantasy IV - Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns - The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor - Nancy Drew: The Mystery of the Clue Bender Society - New International Track & FieldPlayStation Portable: - Code Lyoko: Quest for Infinity PC: - Baseball Mogul 2009 - City Life 2008 Edition
A few significant releases can be seen among the handful of titles premiering across all platforms in the United States this week. The Nintendo DS receives many of the more interesting releases of the week, including Square Enix's remade Final Fantasy IV, roguelike sequel Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns, and Konami's arcade classic update New International Track & Field. On other platforms, Wii owners are set to receive the movie-based The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, along with cooking sim Order Up! and a delayed port of the Neo Geo arcade compilation SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1. The PSP sees a single new release in Code Lyoko: Quest for Infinity, while PC gamers get updates to the Baseball Mogul and City Life franchises. Games Released in Europe:
Nintendo Wii: - Urban Extreme: Street Rage Nintendo DS: - King of Clubs - Lifesigns: Hospital Affairs - Pony Luv - Road to Vegas - Yamaha SupercrossPlayStation Portable: - Buzz! Master Quiz - Go! Explore - International Athletics
An uneventful release week is in store for the UK, with budget-priced Nintendo DS and Wii software accounting for the bulk of the region's upcoming multiplatform lineup. The week's standouts can be found on the PSP, where the PS2-born quiz series Buzz! is set to make its portable debut alongside the GPS navigation tool Go! Explore. Games Released in Japan:

As a release slowdown continues to affect other parts of the world, Japan's lineup flourishes with a number of anticipated releases across all platforms. Wii owners get an early look at Wario Land Shake (to be released in the U.S. later this year as Wario Land: Shake It!), along with the latest entry in Konami's long-running Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu baseball sim series. The PlayStation 3 is set to get a remake of the PS2 survival horror title Siren, while the Japanese Xbox 360 receives long-awaited localizations of Bully and Guitar Hero III. Next week will see the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 release of Soul Calibur IV in all regions. Consoles in Japan will additionally receive Dokapon Kingdom for Wii and Zero: Gesshoku no Kamen, while portables are slated to host Dokidoki Majo Shinpan! 2 DUO, Rhythm Tengoku Gold, and Phantasy Star Portable.
