Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in an exclusively compiled list. This week brings Bionic Commando and Punch-Out!! to gamers in North America, while Japan gets Sloan to Michael: Nazo no Monogatari and Mass Effect. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending May 23rd, 2009. StarDust Accelerator World Championship 2009 PC: - Hannah Montana: The Movie - Hinterland: Orc Lords - Terminator: Salvation A number of major multiplatform releases are set to debut in North America this week. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners will see the wrestling sim UFC 2009 Undisputed, action film tie-in title Terminator: Salvation, and Capcom's anticipated reboot of the Bionic Commando franchise. The Nintendo Wii will also enjoy an especially strong lineup. Wii titles launching this week include EA's peripheral-bundled fitness program EA Sports Active, the puzzle party game sequel Boom Blox: Bash Party, and a remake of Nintendo's classic NES boxing title Punch-Out!! Games Released in Europe: Nintendo Wii: - Aqua Panic - Big Family Games - Bob the Builder: Festival of Fun - EA Sports Active - Mind Body & Soul: Nutrition Matters - Neopets Puzzle Adventure - Night at the Museum 2: The Video Game - Punch-Out!! Xbox 360: - Damnation - Night at the Museum 2: The Video Game - Rock Revolution - UFC 2009 Undisputed PlayStation 3: - Bionic Commando - Damnation - UFC 2009 Undisputed Nintendo DS: - Anno: Create A New World - Diva Girls: Making the Music - Mind Body & Soul: Nutrition Matters - Neopets Puzzle Adventure - Night at the Museum 2: The Video Game - Pokemon Platinum PC: - Damnation - Demigod Codemasters' third-person shooter Damnation will make its worldwide debut in Europe this week, arriving several days in advance of its planned U.S. release. On the portable front, the Nintendo DS will host the awaited UK release of Pokemon Platinum, along with a trio of region-exclusive titles in Anno: Create A New World, Diva Girls: Making the Music, and Mind Body & Soul: Nutrition Matters. Games Released in Japan: Nintendo Wii: - Tact of Magic Xbox 360: - Mass Effect Nintendo DS: - Happy * Star * Band - Ora ga Omae o Mamoru - Pro Yakyuu Team o Tsukurou! 2 - Simple DS Series Vol. 48: The Saibanin: 1-tsu no Shinjitsu, 6-tsu no Kotae - Sloan to Michael: Nazo no Monogatari - Yume o Kanaeru Zou DS - Yuuzai x Muzai PlayStation Portable: - SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 Originally released in other regions in November of 2007, BioWare's sci-fi role playing game Mass Effect will finally make its way to Japan in the coming week. The Wii hosts the second of only two console releases set to hit Japan this week: the Nintendo-developed strategy-RPG Tact of Magic. On portable platforms, the Arc System Works-developed rhythm title Happy * Star * Band and Level 5's puzzler Sloan to Michael: Nazo no Monogatari highlight Nintendo DS offerings this week, while the PSP gets the Neo Geo compilation SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1.
