Release This: Apollo Justice Arrives Stateside; BioShock Debuts in Japan

Gamasutra's latest "Release This!" examines a week that brings Apollo Justice and Dragon Quest Swords to North America, as Japan receives a localization of BioShock and a NiGHTS remake.
Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in an exclusively compiled list. This week's worldwide lineup brings Dragon Quest Swords and Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Stateside, along with multiplatform offerings like The Club, Dynasty Warriors 6, and FIFA Street 3. Meanwhile, Japan receives a long-awaited localization of BioShock, as Europe gets Unreal Tournament 3 and Patapon. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending February 23rd, 2008. Games Released in the United States:

North America plays catch-up this week with a lineup featuring several releases previously seen in other regions. Koei's history-based brawler Dynasty Warriors 6 made its multiplatform Japanese debut late last year, and the Bizarre Creations-developed shooter The Club was originally released in Europe earlier this month. On Nintendo platforms, Wii owners will soon get a localized version of Square Enix's Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors, as Capcom readies its Phoenix Wright series successor Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney for the Nintendo DS. Next week will bring Sony's rhythm-action title Patapon to North American PSPs. Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners can expect to see LOST: Via Domus, along with the alternative history FPS Turning Point: Fall of Liberty. Games Released in Europe:

EA's arcade-style soccer title FIFA Street 3 debuts in the UK at the same time as its U.S. counterpart, though the bulk of this week's European lineup has already been seen release elsewhere in the world. A Europe-exclusive localization of the "digital coloring book" Paint by DS offers up variety on the Nintendo DS, however, and PSP owners in the UK can expect to see Patapon several days in advance of its scheduled U.S. release. On the Nintendo DS, the Harvest Moon series continues with Bokujou Monogatari: Kira Kira Taiyou to Nakama Tachi, and last year's Wizardry-like RPG Etrian Odyssey receives a sequel in Sekaiju no Meikyuu 2: Shoou no Seihai. The week will also bring new life to classic franchises on the Nintendo DS with Populous DS and Space Invaders Extreme, while the 1996 Sega Saturn title NiGHTS into Dreams... receives a PS2 remake that additionally includes a port of Christmas NiGHTS.
