Artificial Studios has released Reality Engine 13.2 to developers. The primary new feature of this release is a robust AI component written entirely in Reality's C# .NET scripting engine.
The Reality AI system includes dynamic and precomputed pathfinding (and a visual path constructor system for the Editor), a core decision-making architecture based on adaptive state machines, intelligent combat routines, stimulus-based reactions, and integrated networking.
These capabilities are demonstrated as FPS Bots that provide heated competition on the demonstration level. This system rounds out Reality Engine's feature set, which includes next-generation shader-driven graphics, networking, physics, scripting, and now AI.
