The "Question Of The Week" feature, a specific industry-related question to be answered by professional game developers reading this site, is asking for feedback on the controversial recent interview with game design legend Chris Crawford. In the interview, the Balance Of Power creator argued of the game biz: "New ideas don't go anywhere. So the industry is just rehashing the same stuff over and over... there's nothing inherently wrong with recycling the same thing over and over and over, but how do you know what you're missing if you're not trying? Has anybody noticed that we don't appeal to the general public?" The new question, which can be answered at the official Question Of The Week page until June 21, is: "What examples of innovation (in design, business, or other areas) do you think disprove the notion that the game industry is not evolving as quickly as it should be? Or is Chris Crawford right?" As with the previous questions, the best responses will be compiled into an article to be published on the site, and users can either respond publically, with their name and company specifically cited, or anonymize their answers if they wish.
