SCEA has announced that its latest PlayStation Store update, due today, adding free demos for the recently released The Darkness and the upcoming PlayStation 3 version of Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2, as well additional content for the downloadable title Blast Factor. Titled Blast Factor Advanced Research, the premium download carries a price of $4.99, and once applied adds eleven new enemies, seven new boss fights, and seven new music tracks from Chicago-based electronic artists Telefon Tel Aviv to Sony's internally developed frantic shooter. In addition, Sony has added demo's for Starbreeze's comic-inspired first-person shooter The Darkness, which was released on June 25, and has since then earned a measure of critical acclaim among video game critics, with the title currently carrying an average score of 83.3% on review aggregate website Gamerankings. Also added today is a demo for the PS3 version of Ubisoft's near-future war shooter, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2, which ships for the console on August 21. Finally, a number of videos have been added, including movie trailers for upcoming theatrical releases, such as Michael Clayton, Get Smart, and The Game Plan.
