George 'The Fat Man' Sanger, Teresa Avallone and Linda Law, organizers of the longstanding think tank for interactive music, Project Bar-B-Q, have announced that they have teamed up to create a think-tank style conference focused on game design, and called Project Horseshoe. The event will take place November 2-5 at the Canyon of the Eagles in Burnet, Texas. The invitation-only gathering, titled Project Horseshoe, will see dialogs involving 50 representatives from the game design field. The organizers announced the event as a way to positively influence the art, science and business of game design over the next five years in ways that the organizers feel are unlikely to happen otherwise. “We know we have a problem-solving process that works,” commented Sanger, “and with a group of the top game design minds in attendance, we'll have the ability to tackle industry-wide problems and make significant headway in solving them.” In conjunction with the announcement of Project Horseshoe, organizers also confirmed that game development tools and services provider Emergent Games Technologies has been signed as a sponsor for the event. For more information on Project Horseshoe, which is an invitation-only event, interested parties can visit the event's official website.
