French game tool company Omegame has announced that Ubisoft is utilizing Omegame's video game user interface (UI) authoring toolchain Menus Master for its forthcoming Xbox 360 title Dark Messiah Might & Magic: Elements. First announced for Xbox 360 in October of last year, Menus Master is a complete software solution allowing users to easily create complex UI and HUDs for video games, with an user-friendly graphical interface, and to export it on wanted platforms. The game user interface can be fully authored by artists, without any need for a programmer’s assistance. Programmers are only involved for the actual integration of the UI into the game. Omegame Menus Master is a bundle of three products: Menus Master Studio, Menus Master Data Generator and Menus Master Development Kit. Menus Master Studio is dedicated to the artists; it allows the quick and easy creation of any kind of game UI through its user-friendly visual interface. Menus Master Data Generator is a processing module, batchable with the game production pipeline. Menus Master Development Kit is Menus Master’s SDK, that allows the programmers to integrate the UI into the game. Dark Messiah Might & Magic: Elements producer Daniel Palix said of the software, "Menus Master added power and flexibility to our user interface development process. It was critical in allowing the development team to quickly and easily make a lot of changes, even deep ones, in order to obtain the best user interface."
