3D technology producer Reyes Infografica announced the development of its latest entry into the 3D development space with VF Costumer, a standalone application that brings cinematic quality garment, armor and weaponry design to video game and animation producers, and which will be available in November for an as-yet-unannounced price. Using VF Costumer, which combines elements of Virtual Fashion and Reyes Infografica’s collection of plug-ins, game developers and animators can “easily and intuitively create 3D garments, armors and weapons for their own characters in just hours as well as offer their customers to custom create their own elements for their own characters”, according to the company. Once custom developed characters are imported into VF Costumer, the user selects any of various “molds” that have been specially created for them and they can then quickly and easily design using a set of visual tools to create graphical elements of their digital personalities in just minutes. A reduced functionality version of the software will also be available to game players to allow them to design their own character’s costumes/garments at home. “VF Costumer delivers a state of the art design and development tool that lets all animation and game producers greatly reduce their development cycles and save both time and money in the process,” said Javier Reyes, Founder of Reyes Infografica. “This new product is perfectly adaptable for both big game studios as well as small shop videogame producers.”
