Realworld Imagery, a provider of textures and architectural entourage objects for graphic designers, has announced the release of Foreground Plants—Zones 2-7 Foliage, a CD collection of high resolution deciduous plant partials for framing and composing architectural visualizations.
Zones 2-7 Foliage features both cold to temperate climate plants from around the world, including 52 plant partials such as single branches, multiple branches, branches and trunk, quarter sections, and half section trees and shrubs with leafy summer foliage. Image sizes range from 2,000 to 4,000 pixels tall/wide, and all images on the CD are 32 bit .TIF files with alpha channel masks.
“Since the images will be used in the foreground, the focus for this collection was to feature plants with interesting leaf shapes," commented project director Kat Bakhu. "You will find leaves that are round, pointed, serrated, lobed, heart shaped, or frilly.”
Bakhu added: “We pride ourselves in bringing out the subtle details characteristic of trees and shrubs in our alpha channel masks and this collection is no exception. You will see the veins in the leaves and even find the stems intact.”
