French game tool company Omegame today announced that Menus Master, its video game User Interface (UI) authoring toolchain, is now available for development of games for the Xbox 360. Menus Master was previously only available for PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, and PC development. Menus Master is a complete software solution allowing users to easily create complex UI and HUDs for video games, with an user-friendly graphical interface, and to export it on wanted platforms. The game user interface can be fully authored by artists, without any need for a programmer’s assistance. Programmers are only involved for the actual integration of the UI into the game. Omegame Menus Master is a bundle of three products: Menus Master Studio, Menus Master Data Generator and Menus Master Development Kit. Menus Master Studio is dedicated to the artists; it allows the quick and easy creation of any kind of game UI through its user-friendly visual interface. Menus Master Data Generator is a processing module, batchable with the game production pipeline. Menus Master Development Kit is Menus Master’s SDK, that allows the programmers to integrate the UI into the game. “UI creation has always been a time-consuming task, that relies on both programming and artistic skills, and remains highly vulnerable to last minute revisions” said Tracey Frankcom, program manager, Xbox Tools and Middleware. “We are pleased that Menus Master supports the Xbox 360, as it offers game developers a powerful and flexible tool that will help them create their user interfaces in a greatly reduced time”.
