Next-generation software tools provider Instinct Technology announced that it with integrate Engenuity Technologies' AI.implant middleware solution into its Instinct Studio development suite. This announcement is the first product of Instinct Technology's 'best in class' initiative. Instinct Studio is a dedicated software development suite, designed for the creation of next-generation computer and video games. The suite is data-driven and modular, allowing for the integration of custom modules and plug-ins. This feature allows the user to replace any single module with a separate middleware or proprietary solution. AI.implant is an artificial intelligence tool and middleware solution that provides professional game developers and training and simulation experts with a solid foundation for building truly realistic and dynamic game environments. The technology is used by some of the biggest names in gaming, including Midway Games and Sony Computer Entertainment America. "From the outset it's been our stated intention to combine Instinct Studio with a variety of 'best in class' middleware solutions - and AI.implant certainly fits that bill," says Instinct Technology's Chief Technology Officer, Dermot Gallagher. "With this integration in place, Instinct Studio now offers first-class artificial intelligence support, further simplifying the decision-making process for our customers." "This integration is great news for our customers who are looking to create high-quality games boasting state-of-the-art artificial intelligence," says Aaron Davey, Director of Product Management for AI.implant. "We've been impressed by Instinct's technology and approach and we're looking forward to working closely with them to expand our joint marketplace."
