Hardware and software physics company Ageia Technologies has announced that Russian game developer Gaijin Entertainment will integrate the Ageia PhysX SDK into their Dagor Game Engine, a middleware solution for Russian game developers. Gaijin will also provide first-line support for the SDK, which brings a substantial benefit for developers in the region where English is not widely used. The company already has several games in development that will take advantage of the engine integration. “Our goal at Gaijin Entertainment is to make our Dagor Engine the most advanced and complete game engine on the Russian market,” said Anton Yudintsev, CEO of Gaijin Entertainment. “With the Ageia PhysX SDK integrated into the Dagor Engine, we can offer everything from standard physics such as characters and vehicles to advanced physics such as cloth, fluids and smoke.” The Ageia PhysX processor is available now in game PCs from Dell, Alienware and Falcon Northwest, and on add-in boards from ASUS and BFG Technologies starting in May 2006.
