Sega has announced a partial list of what titles it will be showing during E3 next week in Los Angeles. The company's offerings will cover a broad range of platforms, both currently available and upcoming consoles such as the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii. Sega will unveil the first next-generation title to feature the company's mascot with the Xbox 360 and PlayStation title simply called Sonic the Hedgehog. The recently released Full Auto for the Xbox 360 will see a sequel at E3 in the form of Full Auto 2: Battlelines, this time exclusively for the PlayStation 3. Sega is also teaming with Project Gotham Racing 3 developer Bizarre Creations for a new third-person action title called The Club for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Another title shown by Sega at E3 will be Virtua Tennis 3, the latest title in the company's long-running tennis franchise that began on the Dreamcast. The game, which is in development for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 by AM2 Studios, will feature next-gen graphics, a Career Mode, Player Creation Mode, and both old and new mini-games made popular by the series. E3 will also mark the return of another Sega franchise, Sega Rally with Sega Rally Revo. As the first title in development at Sega's newly formed Sega Driving Studio, Sega Rally Revo is expected to be shown for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The rally racing title is currently scheduled to ship in 2007, and will feature dynamically deformable terrain that allow for tracks to change with each lap based on both weather effects and driving. Sega's Super Monkey Ball franchise will see two releases shown at E3, including one for Nintendo's upcoming Wii next-generation platform called Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz.Developed by Sega Studios, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz will feature all new single-player levels, as well as single and multiplayer party games made to take advantage of the Revolution's unique controller. In addition Super Monkey Ball Adventure will be shown for the GameCube, PS2, and PSP, and marks the first time in the franchise that the puzzle action will be driven by an underlying narrative. Other confirmed titles include Medieval II: Total War, the follow up to 2005's Rome: Total War, as well as Sonic Rivals for the PSP, Yakuza for the PS2, World Pool Championship 2007 for the PS2 and PSP, Chromehounds for the Xbox 360, and Phantasy Star Universe, the anticipated single and multiplayer follow up to the successful Phantasy Star Online series, currently in development for the PS2, PC, and Xbox 360.
