Playlogic Gets Xbox 360 Worldwide Publishing License

Amsterdam-based independent publisher Playlogic has gotten a worldwide licensed publisher agreement from Microsoft to publish Xbox 360 titles, citing the "broadening consumer profile and loyalty" of the console's userbase as a "great opportunity."
Amsterdam-based independent publisher Playlogic has gotten a worldwide licensed publisher agreement from Microsoft to publish Xbox 360 titles. The company’s key franchises have included titles such as Obscure, Simon the Sorcerer 4: Chaos Happens and Xyanide Resurrection. It's been primarily known as a PC publisher, and in fact today's announcement also includes a Games for Windows license for its PC games. However, Playlogic has recently begun to diversify with more console and portable titles, currently working with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe on PSP titles through its Game Factory development division. "The Xbox 360 is a wonderful platform with an ever increasing installed base and the highest game tie-in ratio of all current consoles," says Playlogic EVP Rogier W. Smit. "The broadening consumer profile and loyalty of the existing user base provide a great opportunity for Playlogic to publish our established IP as well as new experiences."
