Concert producer JMP Productions, which had previously announced a symphony concert series using music from video game titles, has officially confirmed the first date for the PLAY! concert series - it will come to Stockholm, Sweden on Wednesday, June 14, 2006. The PLAY! concert series, which has similarities to the recently troubled Video Games Live concert series, will be performed by full orchestra and choir, will feature award-winning music from titles such as Final Fantasy, Battlefield 1942, World Of WarCraft, and The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Large screens above the orchestra will accompany the scores, highlighting memorable moments from the video games. The concert in Stockholm, Sweden is taking place on June 14 2006 at the prestigious Stockholm Concert Hall. The music will be performed by the famous Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra and chorus, conducted by Grammy Award-winning artist Arnie Roth. Says Jason Michael Paul: "We are grateful for the opportunity to perform our show in Stockholm. The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic is on the cutting edge of providing quality programming for their fans and I am looking forward to this cooperation."
