Japan-based game developer gathering CEDEC 2010 is looking for speakers for its upcoming event this summer, and there are only two more weeks left to apply. The CESA Developers Conference is taking place this year from August 31 to September 2, 2010 at Pacifico Yokohama convention center. CESA also runs the consumer-focused annual Tokyo Game Show. Speakers can be part of sessions, panel discussions, roundtables, short sessions and poster presentations, the last of which allows speakers to display presentation materials in a display space. Conference tracks include programming, visual arts, game design, sound and audio, online/network, production, mobile, business and management, academic, "special categories" (non-specific) and a new genre called Birds of a Feather. Applications, which are being accepted through March 31, may be completed in Japanese or English. More information can be found at the official CEDEC website. Gamasutra covered CEDEC 2009, which included talks from Namco's Tales studio, Capcom's Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi and Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino, who declared that "video games are evil."
