Microsoft has announced that its regular Wednesday Xbox Live Arcade update this week will see the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, the latest in Sega's 'Vintage Collection' series with online co-op multiplay, along with new content updates for Bomberman Live and Band of Bugs. First announced in August, the Sonic release joins Ecco and Streets of Rage 2 in the Vintage Collection series of Genesis ports for the console service, and will be available for 400 Points ($5). Apart from the usual assortment of Achievements and leaderboards, the Sonic remake will feature online co-op multiplayer with two players taking on the role of both Sonic and Tails. Microsoft has also announced that in addition to the new title, Live Arcade will also see the release of new, yet unannounced content for both Hudson's Bomberman Live, and tactical-RPG Band of Bugs.
