The GeForce FX 5600 targets the mainstream market, incorporating the GeForce FX feature set, including Intellisample 2.0. According to the company, the GeForce FX 5600 GPUs deliver 30% more performance at half the price of the GeForce4 Ti 4600.
The GeForce FX 5200 GPU is the company's value-line chip, supporting DirectX 9.0, with a price tag of $79.
Boards with the new chips will start appearing in retail next month from a number of graphics card manufacturers, including Creative and Leadtek.
