Nominations Begin For Interactive Achievement Awards

The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences today announced the opening of nominations for the Sixth Annual Interactive Achievement Awards.
The call for nominations begins immediately with a nominating deadline of December 9, 2002. The awards will be presented next February at the D.I.C.E Summit in Las Vegas. The Academy will present Interactive Achievement Awards in 30 craft, console, computer, and online categories. To be eligible for an Interactive Achievement Award, a title must be: 1) Publicly available in its final general release form in North America at any time between January 1, 2002 and December 9, 2002 regardless of how it is being distributed; 2) Designed for use in at least one of the following platforms: a video console or portable (handheld) system, a personal computer running Windows, a Macintosh compatible computer, or for use on the Internet or a commercial game network; 3) Submitted with all required materials (see http://www.interactive.org for details).
