John A. Sakaley III has announced his retirement as Nintendo of America’s vice president, merchandising after more than sixteen years in the post. Sakaley joined the company in 1987 and pioneered the industry's first shop-within-a-shop in-store display, as well as the first hands-on interactive displays.
Sakaley was promoted to his current position in July 1997. During his retirement, he plans to work as a retail display and merchandising consultant with his company, JSakaley3 Inc.
