Games published or co-published by Nintendo top the list of best-selling games in the United Kingdom for the first half of 2009, according to GfK Chart-Track.
Nintendo holds six of the top ten software slots, with
Wii Fit,
Wii Play, and
Mario Kart Wii in the first three positions, and representing sales of 1.65 million units together.
Also on this list at number seven is
Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training (
Brain Age in North America), which has achieved lifetime-to-date sales of over 3 million, making it the region's most popular title ever.
No games from other publishers enter the list until number five with Sony and Guerrilla Games'
Killzone 2. The other non-Nintendo titles on the list are Capcom's
Resident Evil 5 for Xbox 360, EA's
The Sims 3 for PC, and Activision and Treyarch's
Call of Duty: World at War.

When looking at combined-platform charts, as
provided to GamesIndustry.biz, Nintendo still heads up the list with
Wii Fit. It no longer controls the top four, but still holds five of the ten slots.
On a multiplatform basis, EA Canada's
FIFA 09 (which didn't make the single-platform list on any format) for seven platforms comes in second, followed by
Call of Duty: World at War for six platforms.
