According to a new report, Nintendo has sued accessory developer Nyko over the 'Kama Nunchuk', a third party wireless version of the Wii Nunchuk that Nintendo says violates both patented designs and trademarks on the 'Nunchuk' name. News organization Bloomberg reports that Nintendo's complaint, filed June 10th, says Nyko's product "wholly appropriates the novel shape, design, overall appearance and even the color and materials used in the Nintendo Nunchuk controller." Nintendo has reportedly asked that the court order Nyko to cease production of the third party controller and is asking for cash compensation. Nyko's wireless solution costs $33.99, a premium on Nintendo's first-party wired solution, which retails for $19.99. A Nyko spokesman told Bloomberg, "We have not knowingly violated anyone's intellectual property and we're still examining this."
