Nintendo's 3DS Launch Game Lineup: The Complete Details

We round up all the launch titles confirmed for Nintendo's 3DS thus far, showcasing an interesting blend of core titles, major brands and new endeavors slated for the time between the 3DS's release 'til E3 2011.
Although info on some of the titles coming to Nintendo's 3DS has been trickling steadily to the public since E3 2010, details today on games in the device's launch lineup bring a few surprises. All of the titles are promised for the "window" between the 3DS' late March retail release and E3 2011 in early June, Nintendo has said. The company's promised about 30 games for the launch lineup but has only explicitly confirmed 25 for the U.S. so far: First-party titles include Nintendogs & Cats, a focus of Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime's 3DS presentation, plus Steel Diver and the previously-announced Pilotwings Resort. The 3DS is also getting large support from third-party publishers like Capcom and Ubisoft; Super Street Fighter IV 3D, which looks set to feature a relatively robust online component, was shown prominently at today's Amsterdam event for European audiences. Ubisoft also touted its firm 3DS plans out of the gate, with a total of eight games in the works: Rayman, Splinter Cell, Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D, Asphalt 3D, Rabbids 3D, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars, James Noir's Hollywood Crimes and Driver: Renegade. Nintendo's also confirmed that 3DS versions of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Kid Icarus: Uprising and Star Fox 64 are imminent, and that new titles in popular Nintendo franchises Paper Mario, Mario Kart and Animal Crossing are in development, although none of these have been confirmed as "launch titles". The full list of confirmed games is as follows: Asphalt 3D (Ubisoft) Bust-a-Move Universe (Square Enix) Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D (Ubisoft) Crush 3D (Sega) Dead or Alive Dimensions (Tecmo Koei) Dual Pen Sport (Namco Bandai) Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars (LucasArts) Madden NFL Football (EA Sports) Nintendogs & Cats (Nintendo) Pilotwings Resort (Nintendo) Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D (Konami) Rabbids Travel in Time (Ubisoft) Rayman 3D (Ubisoft) Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D (Capcom) Ridge Racer 3D (Namco Bandai) Samurai Warriors Chronicles (Tecmo Koei) Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked (Atlus) Steel Diver (Nintendo) Super Street Fighter IV 3D (Capcom) The Sims 3 (Electronic Arts) Super Monkey Ball 3D (Sega) Super Street Fighter IV 3D (Capcom) Thor: God of Thunder (Sega) Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Shadow Wars (Ubisoft) Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 3D (Ubisoft) Also at Gamasutra: Our full 3DS coverage includes news from the U.S. and Europe press events, plus overall thoughts on Nintendo's latest mass-market innovation effort.
