Nintendo Profits Up, Thanks To Falling Component Prices

Prepping the market for its next fiscal results, Nintendo said that falling prices for the liquid crystal displays and semiconductors used in the Game Boy Advance have resulted in higher profits for the company for the six months ending in September.
Nintendo is now expected to report a 29% rise in its group operating profit for the period, to around 51 billion yen - up from an earlier forecast of 45 billion yen. Nintendo also said that the terrorist attacks in September had not had any last impact the company financially, apart from the week of September 11. The company announces its next financial results on November 21.
