Thanks to strong sales of the Game Boy Advance and game sales for the Game Boy Color, Nintendo's profits for the first half of the fiscal year climbed 14% over last year.
The company posted a net group profit of 34 billion yen for the six months that ended in September, up from 30 billion yen last year. Revenue for the period rose over 18% from last year, to 225.7 billion yen.
Nintendo expects that its revenue for the full fiscal year, which ends March 2002, will rise 26% to 580 billion yen.
