Nintendo Cracks Down on Pirates

Nintendo announced that recent raids of software pirates in southern China resulted in the confiscation of over 300,000 counterfeit Nintendo games.
The raid of three factories in the province of Guangdong, an area notorious for piracy, is considered one of the most successful ever against Nintendo pirates. Last year, Nintendo lost an estimated 649 million dollars worth of sales to piracy. In the same year, Nintendo backed 135 factory raids, seizing over a million counterfeit Nintendo products.
