Representatives from children’s media company Nickelodeon have announced the nominees for the 19th Annual Kids' Choice Awards, which includes a category for favorite video game alongside its traditional movie and TV show awards, showing the relative importance of games to the juvenile market. The nominees for the Kids' Choice best game awards are as follows: The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer (THQ/Heavy Iron Studios) Madagascar: Operation Penguin (Activision/Vicarious Visions) Madden NFL 06 (Electronic Arts/EA Tiburon) Mario Superstar Baseball (Nintendo/Namco) The award winners will be announced in a ceremony on April 1st at the UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion, to be hosted by actor and comedian Jack Black and attended by celebrities including Will Smith, Lindsay Lohan, Jim Carrey, Johnny Depp, Dakota Fanning, Jessica Alba, Drew Barrymore, Chris Rock, Ben Stiller and Mariah Carey. "I'm super excited to be hosting Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards because when you're doing a show for the kids, you can get extra crazy and loony," said Black. "I have a lot of secret plans for when I host the awards, but I can tell you I'm going to bring the super-duper, freaky-deaky, ultra-clowny super dance! But that's all I'll say." Children will be able to vote in a total of sixteen categories, including favorite video game, with voting beginning online from March 6th on Nick.com. Further special categories will be featured on-air each week.
