Next Limit Technologies has announced that it will be shipping its particle-based physical simulation tool RealFlow3 on October 20th, with improvements including a new user interface and command line options, a new fluid engine solver, and an improved rigid body solver.
The cross-platform (Linux, Mac OS X, Windows) tool is described by its creators as "a particle-based fluid simulator that combines a powerful mathematical engine plus many different options for the artist. It not only includes fluids, but also rigid bodies, soft bodies, wave and wake generation and buoyancy motion, and is a standalone application that works in conjunction with the most important 3D applications on the market.."
With this new version, RealFlow is available in both its standard, complete version and Command Line versions (CMD). This allows users to simultaneously run simulations on various machines, meaning that they can run the standard version of the software on one computer and launch different simulations on others.
