New Tek has released the new version of Light Wave3D, its 3D animation and rendering package. Light Wave 7 has hundreds of new features, with increased speed and better stability, according to New Tek.
Major new features in Light Wave 7 include; a Motion Mixer for non-linear animation, a new tool called Sasquatch Lite for built-in hair, fur and landscape creation/rendering; Digital Confusion, a new depth of field filter; Sky Tracer 2, for universally accurate sun positions and sky creation and more.
Light Wave 7 shipping simultaneously for both Mac OS (9 and X) and Windows. Light Wave 7 is available now, retailing for $2,495, with upgrades available for $495.
