Organizers for game business matchmaking event Game Connection Europe 2008 announced that this year's event will cover new platforms and markets, with many projects for the iPhone, dubbed "the new frontier in handheld development," expected.
Taking place in Lyon, France on November 5-7, 2008, the convention also hopes to broaden its scope and accommodate "the market evolution" that has occurred with the introduction of new audiences, such as non-gamers and casual players. As such, the projects featured at Game Connection will range from hardcore action RPGs to casual baby simulation games.
The business-oriented event will also touch on new development trends, like the emergence of specialized services for various market segments -- mobile game porting, community management, and persistent online games billing, for example.
