Namco Bandai has appointed former Codemasters publishing VP Catherine Fowler as senior VP of sales and marketing, as former Sega sales VP Susan Hughes-Taigen becomes its VP of sales. Hughes-Taigen will lead the company’s sales efforts in North and Latin America; Fowler will now take on responsibility for all sales initiatives at Namco Bandai while she continues to lead marketing, corporate branding and communications strategies. Hughes-Taigen has a 25-year industry background; prior to her senior sales role with Sega, she managed sales and channel marketing teams at Mattel, and has consulted with a number of video game and mobile companies. Before she joined Namco Bandai, Fowler was senior VP of publishing at Codemasters, and she also spent eight years as senior VP of sales and marketing at Konami. Namco Bandai president and CEO Genichi Ito comments: "The appointment of Susan and promotion of Catherine only strengthen our efforts to expand our market share and drive business growth in a highly competitive market. Their proven track record coupled with their expertise will be an invaluable asset to the organization."
