Factor5's MusyX, a Gamecube audio development tool distributed exclusively by Nintendo, now supports Dolby Surround Pro Logic II. Originally developed to supplement Dolby Digital, Dolby Surround Pro Logic II supports five-channel sound from stereo and Dolby Surround-encoded systems. The technology supports full frequency range on five channels, compatibility with existing hardware, and backwards compatibility with stereo and surround equipment.
