Digital 04 Studios is set to hold a new conference in Montreal geared towards the digital arts industry on September 23rd and 24th, 2006, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Montreal, Canada. Named Advanced Digital Art Production Techniques (//ADAPT), the conference will play host to over 20 digital art masters, numerous film and video game studios, and hundreds of experienced and aspiring artists. The conference will feature guest speakers such as David Levy (Ubisoft's Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, Assassin's Creed), Jonathan Abenhaim (Ubisoft's Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones), Aaron Gilman (Ubisoft's Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas), and many more artists with credits stemming from film and video game blockbusters. The Master Classes are divided into 2D and 3D tracks respectively, presented from 9:00am to 6:45pm. These classes will be given by 14 different artists teaching advanced digital art production techniques. The Exploration track showcasing Montreal's talent will be presented at the same time and will feature seven classes on beginner to intermediate production techniques. Course outlines will cover techniques used is matte painting, storyboarding, concept art, animation, rigging, lighting and much more. With the amount of talent rising in the digital art industry in Montreal and abroad, //ADAPT has set up a Job Fair hosted by recruiters from Electronic Arts (EA), Ubisoft Entertainment, and many more. They will examine demo reels and portfolios, and conduct interviews on site. In addition, a panel of master artists will review demo reels and offer participants feedback on the spot.
