Vivendi Games Mobile’s
SWAT Force won Best Wireless Game at the 4th annual Spike TV Video Game Awards among a field of stiff competition that included
Super KO Boxing, Diner Dash, and
Tower Bloxx.
SWAT Force, based on the PC franchise of the same name, puts gamers in control of a two man SWAT team. Across seven missions gamers hack computer terminals, defuse bombs, pick locks, and of course subdue or eliminate numerous terrorists, hostage-takers, and robbers.
The game garnered numerous accolades from the enthusiast press in 2006, including a Mobie Award nomination from CNET Networks Games & Entertainment and an IGN Editor's Choice Award.
"I can't think of a better way for Vivendi Games Mobile to celebrate its successful entry into the business," Paul Maglione, president of Vivendi Games Mobile said in a statement.
