The first results of Glu's licensing agreement with SCEA came to fruition today, as the company announced the launch of
ATV Offroad Fury.
The game, named "Cell Phone Game of the Month" in the October issue of LAPTOP magazine, features 30 mission-based levels across five environments, as well as customizable and upgradable ATVs.
“Glu’s reputation as an expert in transforming console games to the mobile platform continues with the launch of ATV Offroad Fury,” said Jill Braff, general manager of the Americas, Glu Mobile. "We've brought ATV’s fast-paced and fun, high-flying, off-road quad racing to mobile with state-of-the-art graphics and easy controls."
Offroad Fury is the latest example of Glu's insistence on maintaining a balanced mobile portfolio. The company strikes a balance between original releases, such as
Super KO Boxing, licenses from other mediums including the Hoyle and World Series of Poker brands, and licenses from the console market, including Microsoft's
Project Gotham Racing, among others.
