Microsoft Withdraws From OpenGL ARB

Citing its desire to focus solely on DirectX, Microsoft announced that it will resign from the OpenGL Architecture Review Board effective February 15.
Microsoft said that while it supported industry standards "in principle", it felt that OpenGL was not advancing fast enough to warrant the company's continued participation. The company said it would continue to support the technology, despite its resignation from the ARB.
