MI6 has announced the launch of its third annual MI6 Awards competition, inviting game marketers, promoters and advertisers to submit their game-related campaigns for consideration.
MI6 is a non-profit association which supports marketing, promotion and advertising professionals involved in the interactive entertainment community. Previous award winners include Ignited Minds, Konami, Microsoft, Petrol, Activision, Vivendi, Sony, Ubisoft, THQ, The Ant Farm and Atari, among others.
Judged by their peers, winners took home Gold and Silver Muse statues during the awards ceremony that capped off the two-day industry event. The awards competition features 35 different individual categories that cover the promotion of console platforms and individual software titles across television, print, web and other formats.
Said MI6 Conference General Manager Jill Lindeman, “We are proud to have established a forum that recognizes the true heroes of this business: those whose brilliant marketing, creative strategies and incredible vision have reached millions of people. These creatives have played an integral role in enabling gaming to stake its claim as a serious contender in the entertainment industry.”
