Organizers of the International Digital Entertainment Festival announced that this year's event, to be held in Melbourne, Australia, will include a series of student-focused seminars and presentations, as part of the Develop ICT Skills and Careers Expo.
The event's educational sessions will give students the opportunity to meet with attending industry members, and will provide insight into the finer details of a career in the games industry.
The Develop ICT Skills and Careers Expo will be held on Friday, October 30th, at the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton, Melbourne. Entry to the Expo is free for students attending as part of a school-sponsored field trip.
Between October 30th and November 1st, the International Digital Entertainment Festival will also host the eGames Expo, during which attendees can sample new products from a lineup of game publishers and developers.
Multiple console and handheld games will be playable at the eGames Expo. The event will also include a Kids Zone for games targeted at younger children, and will feature gaming competitions and contests for all attendees.
